All of Catholic medals are Italian silver plate (flash plated), but the other charms are made in other countries.

The original logo is approximately 1/2″ tall including ring and 3/8″ wide. The new logo charm is approximately 1/2″ tall including the ring by about 3/4″ wide.

3rd Degree Relic Medals
The relics on these medals are considered 3rd Class relics which means the fabric piece on the back has been touched to a first or second class relic of a saint. Most of the relics that laypeople have are prayer cards that have touched either a saint’s body or their personal items. All relics must be held in high esteem, protected, and kept from desecration and harm.

This double sided medal is 7/8″ tall and 5/8″ wide (not including ring). You can have either side facing forward.

St Dymphna is most widely know for her patronage for those suffering from nervous and mental afflictions, but there is actually a long list of other causes she represents including sleepwalking, epilepsy, insanity, family happiness, incest victims, loss of parents, martyrs, mental asylums, mental health caregivers, mental health professionals, mental hospitals, neurological disorders, possessed people, princesses, rape victims and runaways.
