Do you need heavy duty wire and chain?  Or do you just want to make your rosary look richer?  All basic custom rosaries are made with 22g Italian silver or gold plate wire and flat link chain (very similar to what you see in the store).  20g wire and 18g round link chains are much thicker and more sturdy.
